Anti Terrestrial Black metal
MAGOTH is according to the writings of Abraham v. Worms from the 15th century as a planetary spirit subordinate to Lucifer, Leviathan, Satan and Belial. The name describes the intention behind the musical works: the joining of forces and the view of earthly activity as an outside observer.
The works, which are deeply rooted in the black metal of the second era but are by no means another replica, move between brutal frenzy, oppressive heaviness and evocative malaise.
The musical interweaving of these extremes creates a latently malignant atmosphere that absorbs the listener and only releases them back into the bigoted reality some time later.
MAGOTH was founded in 2011 in Bonn (Germany) by guitarist and vocalist HEERGOTT. The band released 1 demo and 3 studio albums so far. Over 1.000.000 album streams, over 100 played concerts and festivals.
The band is currently recording their 4th and highly anticipated album ''ANIMA DIABOLI'', to be released in 2025.
